Red wine is generally the recommended wine pairing for red meat. However, I came across this old video with La Bernadin’s sommelier Aldo Sohm, considered the best sommelier in the world, pairing white wine with red meat. Wine pairing is really about what the individual prefers. I personally prefer white wine with all meals. I find that white wine helps me digest the food better. Red wine on the other hand, is a drink I enjoy on its own, or maybe with a light snack.
